Why not spend a fascinating evening at London's Science Museum every last Friday of the month from 6.30pm to 10pm?

There is definitely something magical about having the Science Museum as a backdrop for your Friday night.

Your evening will be filled with science, food, wine, live music and even an exploration of your childhood.

Also, why not throw in some robots, satellites orbiting Earth and futuristic cars to liven things up?

This year one of the greatest museums in London is offering a different and ideal opportunity to those adults who want to revive their 'inner child'.

In these 'Adults Only' nights, people can enjoy a shameless playtime in the famous interactive gallery - blowing bubbles, spinning like skaters and capturing multi-coloured shadows, while also enjoying a glass of wine (or maybe two!) all night.

The museum has opened three temporary bars, with DJs providing a totally chilled-out atmosphere.

What to find

Each event has a uniqulely exciting theme.

For instance, the first evening which took place in January, had a Japanese theme to fit with the Japan Car exhibition that happened at the same time.

Sake and sushi were served, with martial arts demonstrations and Japanese pop DJs were in charge of the live music.

More than 400 people queued in the rain outside the Museum for this first monthly 'Adults Only' night.

Other exhibits include "icy bodies", a tank of blue-dyed water, into which pellets of dry ice fall from a conveyor belt, fizzing and turning into gas.

The Science Museum transforms the gallery into the perfect place to start the weekend with style. So, don’t miss the opportunity to become a child again!
