Who said a weekend out in London should bankrupt you? Unbelievably, it is possible to enjoy a weekend out in the city and spend just £20!

London is a gorgeous city. There's enough diversity to fill a weekend with movement and spontaneity, going from one end of the city to the other, from places like Chinatown to Edgware road, across different cultures.

So bring out a topped Oyster card, and follow our plan for you this weekend!

Friday night

You've just finished school or work, so why not escape into the exciting world of Brazil? Head to Brick Lane, and taste Brazilian food at the Market. The meal will cost you no more than £4.

Now that you’ve got your energy back, how about calling up some friends and hopping to the Sports Café by Trafalgar Square?

Here’s the deal with the Sports Café - if you have a pay slip from work, the entrance is free. If you don’t (if you're a student or you've been recently laid off), you’ll only be required to pay £5 at the door!

The drinks here are inexpensive. For instance, a Vodka Red bull (a personal favourite) would only cost you £2.50.

Total damages for the day: £10

Saturday

Saturday morning, a casual walk in London would relax you even more. It is the best time to explore the city, capturing every moment on camera.

While appreciating the grandeur of Big Ben, why not head towards the streets of South Kensington by cutting through Piccadilly Circus to admire some architectural marvels?

Also, don’t forget to stop by the shops for some window-shopping!

Once you get to South Kensington, you should definitely visit the National History  Museum. The entrance is free (FREE!), and you could discover many of the World’s greatest secrets.

Saturday night

Instead of being cooped up in a club for a second night on the trot, why not take it easy at The Hideaway, a five minute walk from Tufnell Park underground station?

The menu is not just diverse, but affordable. There you can enjoy live music, while having a meal or a drink with friends! A glass of wine, along with some olives or hummus is possible for no more than £7!

Total damages for the day: £7

Sunday

Sunday just HAS to be your extra long breakfast day! Start at a café - Starbucks or Café Nero should do.
Then, why not just laze at home, and put a movie on, before heading to bed.
Total damages for the day: £3
And there you go! You get a weekend filled with cultural activities, clubbing, downing a couple of drinks, and enjoying a meal with your friends, all for near nothing.
